Pitcher, Tyler Walker has recently signed with the Warriors Baseball team. Walker put up solid numbers as he lead the Warren Mott pitching staff to a 2009 MAC White championship. "Tyler was a no brainer for us, with some hard work, he will be a dominant pitcher in the years to come," Coach Ackerman said. Walker played under the guidance of Coach Maloney where he earned honorable mention All-District and Academic All-MAC.

Former Warrior Signs Professional Contract
2007 graduate, Bo (Linares) Ford signed with the Baltimore Orioles. Ford had a solid career at the shortstop position while playing for the Warriors. After graduation Ford moved to Florida where he played extended spring training with several pro clubs before being signed by the Orioles. Ford is currently playing catcher in the Orioles minor league system.

Baseball signing come pouring in for 2009-2010
Allen Park Cabrini's Yesh Signs With Warriors Coach Ackerman is pleased to announce the signing of Allen Park Cabrini standout, Ray Yesh. "Ray came to us highly recommended, and his stats solidified everything that was stated," Coach Ackerman said. After an impressive senior campaign, Yesh was picked for All-Conference and All-Catholic league honors. "Ray is a great young man with an excellent attitude, he is the ideal player we strive to bring in here to RC."
Warriors Add Experience to First Base Position Steve Bedsloe comes to the Warriors from Mott Community College. Bedsloe, a first baseman was the captain of the Mott baseball team where he led the teams offensive attack. "Steve has a great bat and a solid glove, I am expecting great things out of him this season," Ackerman said. Bedsloe will be competing for the starting spot with senior Bobby Stout who put up impressive numbers last year. "Steve and Bob are going to push each other all season, which is going to intensify their work ethic at practice making them better ball players." Steve graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School where he earned All-league, All-District, and All-region honors. Steve also set the school record for hits his junior year with 62.
Warriors Sign Two More From Fitzgerald High School Coach Ackerman signed utility player, Jeff Lusczki and outfielder, Rob Wells. After having successful careers under Coach Paul Hrycaj at Fitzgerald High School in Warren, MI, Lusczki and Wells are well prepared to enter their college careers. Ackerman is excited about what Lusczki and Wells bring to the field. "These two individuals have been coached well in high school and have incredible work ethic."
New Mexico's Fresquez Signs With Warriors Los Alamos High School baseball standout Lance Fresquez is the newest member of the 09-10 Warrior's baseball team. Fresquez finished his senior season by earning 2nd team All-District honors under the expertise of Coach Mike Gill. "I am very happy Lance has decided to sign with us, he not only does a fine job on the field, but more importantly, he is very successful in the classroom," Coach Ackerman said.
Warrior's Add Depth to Catching Postion Coach Ackerman is pleased to announce the signing of Fraser High School catcher, Anthony Incarnati, Walled Lake Western catcher, Ryan Logan, and Lance Creuse North catcher, Eric Vanlerbergh. All three catchers will be entering under the wing of senior captain catcher, Jeff Martinez. "These three will be competing for the rotational starting job this fall and spring. All three have the ability to start, it will be a battle until game one when we head down south," Coach Ackerman stated about the Warrior catching unit.
Warriors Sign Third Baseman Fraser High School third baseman, Mitch Schaefer signed his letter of intent and is now a committed Warrior. "Mitch has the highest GPA of any of the players we have signed so far, that says so much about this young man," Coach Ackerman said. "Mitch is a natural leader who plays with heart, I can see him being a team leader in the years to come."

Warriors Adds two to 2009 Recruiting Class
Coach Ackerman is pleased to announce the signing of Warren Fitzgerald High School senior standout, Ben Smith and Goodrich High School graduate Nick McDonald. Smith, a 3 years starter for the Spartans brings not only playing ability, but strong academic history. "Ben comes from a family of hard workers, I am excited to see how far he can push himself and his teammates when he arrives here in the fall," Ackerman said, "Ben will have a valid shot at earning some playing time as a freshman." Nick McDonald earned top notch honors during his career at Goodrich High School. McDonald was a 3 year All-District and All Conference pick as well as earning All Region his junior and senior years. Coach Ackerman said, "Nick is going to be a valuable player to our program because he is versatile. Having a guy that can make things happen from several positions as well as hit for both power and contact will add a lot to our lineup."

Warriors sign first recruit for Fall '09
Head Coach Jordan Ackerman is pleased to announce the signing of Keaton Moyer from Saranac High School in Saranac, MI. "Keaton is a standout athlete with plenty of potential to grow, we are looking forward to having him in next fall," Ackerman said. Moyer is the first signee for the Fall '09 semester.
The Warrior baseball team has begun indoor practices this month in preparation for the '09 Spring season. The Baseball warriors will open the season with a spring break trip in March where they will take on South Carolina-Beaufort and Savannah College of Art and Design.
