In addition to undergraduate programs, Rochester College offers graduate preparation in Biblical Studies and Ministry. The Masters of Religious Education degree (MRE) is designed to provide advanced preparation in the traditional disciplines of theological scholarship to prepare men and women for professional and lay ministry in the church, and to prepare students for further academic work in these disciplines.
The faculty of Graduate Religion at Rochester College shares the belief that ministry in the church today should be characterized by rigorous engagement with the church’s Scripture, her history, her theology, and her shared life together. Commensurate with this commitment, the Masters program at Rochester is a 36 hour graduate degree built around 5 core classes and two tracks: New Testament or Ministry.
